KOKO Networks has been selected as a finalist in the 2022 round of the Keeling Curve Prize. Each year, the Keeling Curve Prize is awarded to 10 of the most impactful climate projects around the world - 20 finalists were selected from a field of hundreds of applications across five categories: energy, carbon sinks, finance, social & cultural pathways, and transport and mobility.
These projects are analysed for their record of impact (especially in reducing greenhouse gases), a spirit of inventiveness to tackle complex climate challenges, and a talented team to enable their solutions to flourish. The prize is a program under the Global Warming Mitigation Project that highlights projects that display proven carbon uptake, drawdown, or sequestration efforts.
KOKO was recognized as a finalist in the energy category which acknowledges projects that decarbonize energy, support zero-carbon energy innovations and are leading the way in the improvement of low or zero-emissions energy systems worldwide. Projects were selected based on their ability to improve energy access for less-developed communities in swift and stable ways.
We are grateful to the Global Warming Mitigation Project and the Keeling Curve Prize selection panel for this recognition. We also applaud our fellow finalists who are doing outstanding work in implementing innovative climate solutions.
